Dopo il successo decretato dal tutto esaurito dello scorso anno, domenica 19 luglio 2020 alle ore 20.45 Palazzo Pesce ritorna a parlare inglese con “The music of the Beatles” insieme al sax di Gaetano Partipilo e al pianoforte di Jonathan Gee, questa volta accompagnati da Giuseppe Bassi al contrabbasso e Fabio Accardi alla batteria.
Un concerto in Puglia per ascoltare quattro musicisti di spicco del panorama internazionale che si ritrovano sul palco per divertirsi e divertire il pubblico con i loro arrangiamenti originali dei brani dei Fab Four: il sax di Gaetano Partipilo, docente di Sassofono Jazz al Conservatorio di Foggia, per due volte classificato al secondo posto come “miglior nuovo talento nazionale” sulla rivista «Musica Jazz», musicista eclettico che si esibisce in tutto il mondo il cui ultimo album “Boom Collective”, frutto della riunione di un collettivo di musicisti “made in Puglia”, sta girando fra Europa e Americhe; il pianoforte e la voce di Jonathan Gee, uno dei pianisti di riferimento della scena jazz inglese, premiato come “miglior musicista jazz emergente” da «The Guardian» e dotato di un tocco unico con cui esprime uno stile personalissimo fatto di spirito e materia; il contrabbasso di Giuseppe Bassi, musicista fra i più richiesti e apprezzati degli ultimi vent’anni, un amore antico per la tradizione jazzistica intrecciato a un grande interesse per le correnti moderne e numerose collaborazioni al fianco di artisti blasonati in ambito mondiale come John Hicks, Joe Magnarelli e Stefano Bollani; la batteria di Fabio Accardi, diploma in Percussioni classiche al Conservatorio di Verona e in Jazz et musiqués improvvisées al Conservatorio nazionale superiore di Parigi, prestigiose collaborazioni fra cui la cantante brasiliana Rosalia De Souza, incisioni discografiche e una carriera nei cinque continenti.
Una serata imperdibile per essere parte di un omaggio tra avanguardia e tradizione ai brani immortali del Quartetto di Liverpool.
