Venerdì 20 marzo 2020 alle ore 20.30 a Palazzo Pesce va di scena “The Gloomy Suite”, progetto di musica e narrativa del compositore Paolo Palazzo, realizzato in collaborazione con la scrittrice Francesca Gattuso e l’illustratrice Serena Schinaia e prodotto da Minimacroma.
Un concerto transmediale in Puglia per assistere a una performance per pianoforte, live electronics e videoproiezione: una ragazza corre a perdifiato tra le strade di una città senza nome e, inseguendo il proprietario di un misterioso libro, compie un viaggio alla scoperta di sé, delle proprie ansie e paure. Sulle note della “Suite Bergamasque” di Claude Debussy e della “The Gloomy Suite” di Paolo Palazzo, si dipana un percorso strutturato in uno spartito per pianoforte, una short novel e una serie di tavole illustrate. Il tutto affidato all’interpretazione di Paolo Palazzo, laurea in Organo ad indirizzo solistico e Didattica della Musica con massimo dei voti e lode, docente di Musica presso istituti secondari di primo e secondo grado, concertista che calca i palcoscenici di Italia, Finlandia, Indonesia e USA, e compositore prolifico di colonne sonore per film, cortometraggi, produzioni multimediali e sound design per campagne pubblicitarie di marchi internazionali, e autore di “Codice Atlantico”, recente pubblicazione di sette composizioni per organico misto ispirate all’omonimo carteggio di Leonardo da Vinci.
Una serata che mescola presente e futuro e sperimenta differenti tecniche rappresentative e le loro diverse possibilità espressive, cogliendo il peso di un sospiro e l’abisso di un desiderio.
