Sabato 25 aprile 2020 alle ore 20.30 Palazzo Pesce scandisce il “Tempo da Bach a Piazzolla” insieme alla tuba di Matteo Magli e al pianoforte di Vito Cofano.
Un concerto in Puglia di rara programmazione, che porta sul palco la sonorità affascinante e misteriosa della tuba che, insieme al pianoforte, accompagnerà il pubblico in un viaggio musicale lungo tre secoli: dalle sublimi pagine assolute di Johann Sebastian Bach alla mondanità inglese di Georg Frideric Händel, fino al Romanticismo inquieto di Robert Schumann, alle melodie eterne tratte da “Tosca” e “La Bohème” di Giacomo Puccini e i ritmi che si fanno passione e struggimento di Astor Piazzolla. Un programma raffinato ed eclettico che vede complici tra le pareti affrescate della Sala etrusca Matteo Magli, Prima tuba dell’Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai, docente di tuba presso l'”Istituto musicale pareggiato della Valle D’Aosta”, diploma in Basso Tuba al Conservatorio Verdi di Milano e laurea magistrale di specializzazione in Basso Tuba al Conservatorio Rossini di Pesaro, perfezionamento con artisti di fama internazionale e una carriera che lo vede esibirsi oltre che in concerti da solista e in formazioni da camera o in duo tuba e pianoforte, con numerose orchestre italiane, tra cui l’orchestra del “Teatro alla Scala” di Milano, del “Gran Teatro la Fenice” di Venezia e del “Teatro dell’Opera” di Roma, diretto da bacchette del calibro di Zubin Mehta, Ennio Morricone, Riccardo Chailly e Riccardo Muti, e Vito Cofano, diploma in Pianoforte con lode al Conservatorio Rota di Monopoli e in Composizione al Conservatorio D’Annunzio di Pescara, perfezionamento con i nomi più prestigiosi del panorama internazionale tra cui Benedetto Lupo, Aldo Ciccolini, F.J. Thiollier e Klaus Kaufmann, una intensa attività concertistica a cavallo dei repertori classico solistico e cameristico, jazz, gospel e rock, con importanti riconoscimenti e successi in occasione di festival come Rock Targato Italia e Heineken Jammin’ Festival Contest. Attualmente è impegnato come pianista-compositore attraverso il progetto” Insolito”, da cui prende il nome il suo primo album pubblicato nel 2014 e con il quale porta all’attenzione del pubblico le proprie musiche e anche composizioni di colleghi contemporanei con lo scopo di divulgare la musica scritta attualmente in Italia per pianoforte.
