Anselmo è un bambino molto particolare. Dotato di grandissima fantasia e sensibilità, affronta la quotidianità da solo con la madre in maniera tutta sua: ha sviluppato un'ossessione per i colori, per le forme circolari e soprattutto per i supereroi. Desidera tanto possedere anche lui dei superpoteri per poter salvare il mondo come il padre, che in realtà lo ha abbandonato subito dopo la sua nascita. Questo desiderio cresce dopo aver conosciuto Titti, una bambina molto stravagante, che però viene costretta ad allontanarsi presto da lui. Anselmo cresce ma non smette di guardare il mondo in maniera infantile tanto che, grazie all'aiuto di un caro amico di famiglia, si trasforma in Copperman, l'uomo di rame, che di notte aiuta a ripulire il proprio paese dalle ingiustizie. Le responsabilità di Copperman diventeranno più grandi quando finalmente Titti tornerà a casa.
