Tavolo dedicato alle curiosità legate alle percezioni sensoriali innescate dal consumo di alcuni ortaggi e spezie. In particolare si illustreranno gli effetti dovuti ad alcune sostanze come la capsaicina e altri alcaloidi prodotti dalle piante sui termorecettori, innescando sensazioni di caldo o freddo all'interno del corpo umano. Oltre stimolare i recettori sulle mucose, alcune piante possono stimolare la lacrimazione: sarà quindi possibile scoprire il perché tagliare la cipolla fa piangere la maggior parte delle persone. Infine, si parlerà di "cavoli amari", detto che nasconde motivazioni genetiche legate ad una diversa capacità di percepire alcuni composti amari prodotti dal mondo vegetale. I cavoli ne sono un esempio eclatante e sarà possibile, attraverso un semplice test con strisciolina imbevuta di PTC (feniltiocarbamide), scoprire se si è sensibili al gusto amaro delle brassicacee.
L'evento sarà suddiviso in 5 turni dalla durata di 20 minuti ciascuno, con la disponibilità di 8 adulti + 8 bambini per ogni fascia oraria.

I have not received my ticket via email. What should I do?
The first thing to do is check your spam/junk filters and inboxes. Your tickets were sent as an attachment and can be thought of as spam by some email services. Alternatively, you can always find your tickets in your Billetto account that you can access in the browsers or the dedicated Billetto app. For more help with this, read here.

The approval of refunds is entirely at the event organiser’s discretion, and you should get in contact with the event organiser to discuss what options are available to you.
