Animaphix 2018 apre la prima serata con Of Shadows and Lights, uno spettacolo dove ombre e luci si intrecciano con la voce sofisticata di Fabrizio Cammarata che ci porterà nel mondo della Llorona, il demone popolare messicano, la musa della vita e della morte che dalla versione del cantante spagnolo Raphael, passando per la meravigliosa interpretazione di Chavela Vargas, arriverà a Villa Cattolica, insieme alle tavole animate di Valentina Lo Duca e la danza teatro di Giovanna Amarù, formatasi alla Folkswang Hochschule di Essen, diretta da Pina Bausch, in cui i demoni della Llorona potranno invaderla per poi restituirle la vita, nell’incanto di un continuo alternarsi di gioie e dolori, destinato a ripetersi per l’eternità.
*** A seguire, Animaphix omaggerà i registi di Loving Vincent, Hugh Welchman e Dorota Kobiela, ospiti di questa edizione, con la proiezione del film che ha conquistato le sale cinematografiche di tutto il mondo.
