Domenica 15 settembre 2019 alle ore 21.00 Palazzo Pesce accoglie fra le pietre bianche della sua corte il “Festino nella sera del giovedì grasso avanti la cena” di Adriano Banchieri, eseguito dal Florilegium Vocis e dalla Cappella musicale Santa Teresa dei Maschi sotto la direzione del M° Sabino Manzo.
Uno spettacolo esclusivo in Puglia per ascoltare l’opera del monaco benedettino composta a Venezia nel 1608 e costituita da ventuno madrigali su testo drammatico, ovvero con dialoghi, personaggi e azione. Una vera e propria commedia madrigalesca, dal gusto popolaresco e pungente, talvolta grottesco e con intento parodistico, affidata all’Ensemble vocale Florilegium Vocis e all’Ensemble Cappella musicale Santa Teresa dei Maschi, diretti al cembalo da Sabino Manzo, diploma con massimo dei voti in Pianoforte, Composizione, Direzione di Coro e di Orchestra, un repertorio che passa attraverso i massimi capolavori antichi e barocchi e una incessante attività di ricerca di gemme musicali inedite.
Una serata vivace e irriverente, con la regia di Niccolò Marzocca, in cui il pubblico sarà guidato attraverso una vera e propria vetrina di maschere tipiche, dal vecchietto alla zitella, dall’imbonitore ai giovani innamorati, sospesi fra danze, onomatopee ed effetti scenici d’ogni sorta.
