"STRANO M'ALVERIO" è un recital di teatro-canzone rappresentato da Alverio Cau, umorista che
ama definirsi "raccantauttore”. Ricalca i canoni del Teatro di Rivista che nell"accezione più stretta del termine, costituisce un genere di spettacolo misto di canto, musica, prosa, danza e scenette umoristiche ispirate all"attualità spicciola e ai tradizionali cliché erotico-sentimentali, uniti da un tenue filo conduttore che offre il pretesto per mettere in scena una serie di quadri o scenette, d"intonazione comica o ironica, con la presenza in scena di personaggi fissi come le soubrette”, mancanti però in questa versione in cui l"artista si esibisce da solo.
In "Strano m"Alverio” l"artista si racconta attraverso un breve viaggio introspettivo umoristico narrato intercalando canzoni del proprio repertorio e monologhi dal sapore antropologico, identitario e vernacolare.
Il Recital è interamente ideato, scritto, diretto e interpretato da Alverio Cau.

ALVERIO CAU Dopo decenni di esperienza nella produzione e rappresentazione di spettacoli di cabaret e varietà comico-musicali, Alverio Cau, il poliedrico artista Santagiustese originario di Tramatza che ama definirsi "Raccantauttore", nell'ultimo periodo ha deciso di dedicare la sua attenzione verso temi e contesti, musicali e letterari, più maturi.
Nel 2021 produce così il nuovo singolo "Il padre la madre e il figlio", canzone nata nel 1975 con la complicità di Luigi Puggioni, arrangiata da Guido Guglielminetti.
Il brano viene iscritto a diversi Premi Nazionali di canzone d'autore quali il Concorso Spazio d'Autore, il Premio "George Brassens", Roma Music Festival e il Premio Pigro "Ivan Graziani" accedendo alle fasi finali e ottenendo prestigiosi riconoscimenti che gli consentono di partecipare a Casa Sanremo 2022.
Nascono nel contempo diverse altre produzioni e collaborazioni artistiche in particolare con Michele Pio Ledda, notissimo e apprezzatissimo poeta e scrittore contemporaneo che ha firmato canzoni per i più grandi musicisti isolani, e Paolo Poddighe, rinomato musicista Sassarese di provata esperienza e bravura.
Con loro produce "Bette Muninca", cover di "Le Gorille" di George Brassens, e "Alighera", rifacimento di "Taglia la testa al gallo" di Ivan Graziani, entrambe in "limba" portate con successo prima a Marsico Nuovo, per la finale del Premio Brassens 2021, e a Teramo per la finale del Premio Pigro 2021, e poi a Casa Sanremo 2022.
Di "Alighera" viene prodotto e pubblicato nel 2022 un videoclip ambientato e girato ad Alghero, città natale della mamma di Ivan Graziani. I risultati conseguiti convincono l'Artista a lavorare a un nuovo progetto più impegnato pensando e producendo un nuovo spettacolo per calcare il palco di un Teatro. Nasce così "Strano m'Alverio", un personalissimo Recital in forma di Teatro-Canzone, attualmente portato in scena in diversi Teatri dell'Isola.
