Nonostante l'età e i logoranti anni di servizio, Mike va a tutto gas. Marcus invece è diventato nonno e culla col nipote l'idea della pensione. Investigatori da sempre e amici per sempre, sorvegliano Miami e assicurano i cattivi di turno alla giustizia. Ma è da lontano che arriva il pericolo e colpisce in pieno petto Mike. Vittima di un sicario misterioso e di un passato burrascoso, Mike sopravvive grazie ai medici e al voto di Marcus, che ha giurato su Dio di non impugnare più un'arma.
