L’evento “Il Salotto Musicale dell’800” è concepito come un tuffo nel passato, ricreando l’atmosfera tipica dei salotti borghesi e nobiliari dell’Ottocento.
L’intento è quello di offrire al pubblico un’esperienza immersiva, dove le note musicali si intrecciano con la lettura di poesie e brani letterari, evocando emozioni che spaziano dalla passione alla tristezza, dall’allegria all’ilarità. L’Associazione Musicale Reggina Domenico Scarlatti nasce nel 2007 per volontà dei M° Tiziana Pizzi e M° Alberto Vitolo, rispettivamente Presidente e Direttore Artistico AMRDS, con lo scopo della esecuzione, valorizzazione e diffusione del ricchissimo patrimonio musicale italiano, attraverso concerti, eventi, masterclasses, convegni, conferenze.
In particolar modo si dedica alla formazione di giovani talenti e ad attività di perfezionamento musicale; a tal proposito ha istituito i “Corsi Internazionali di Perfezionamento Musicale Sonorità Italiana nel mondo”, che fin dal primo anno di fondazione hanno riscosso enorme successo per l’alto livello di offerta formativa, affiancati dai “Concerti Sonorità Italiana nel mondo”.
L’associazione si avvale inoltre di diverse formazioni musicali, “I Solisti dell’AMRDS”, professionisti del mondo dell’arte (di varie competenze), di volta in volta chiamati a collaborare a seconda del tipo di evento da svolgere.
La sua attività si articola su due sedi, Reggio Calabria e Roma.
