Luca Cupani è un comico italiano naturalizzato britannico. Il suo percorso artistico è piuttosto singolare: dopo una laurea con lode in lettere classiche e un Master con Umberto Eco, Luca lavora per alcuni anni nel mondo dell’editoria, ma dal 2011 decide di cambiare completamente vita e intraprendere una carriera artistica. Prima si diploma come attore a Bologna (Scuola di Teatro Colli), poi nel 2014 si trasferisce a Londra per cimentarsi con una realtà internazionale: arrivato nel Regno Unito, scopre il mondo della stand-up comedy e se ne innamora. La sua prima esibizione è nel febbraio 2014, quando vince il Gong Show del Comedy Store, uno spettacolo per esordienti noto come "la più brutale serata open-mic di Londra”. Nel 2015 è il primo italiano a vincere a Edimburgo il concorso So You Think You're Funny?, grazie al quale viene invitato a partecipare al festival Just for Laughs di Montreal. Negli ultimi anni ha preso parte ai concorsi internazionali di Seattle e San Francisco e si esibisce regolarmente in comedy clubs e festival a Londra e in tutto il Regno Unito oltre che in diversi paesi esteri. Dal 2014 al 2019 ha partecipato al Fringe Festival di Edimburgo (il più grande festival d'arte al mondo), ogni anno con un nuovo monologo di un'ora (nel 2022 è tornato al Fringe di Edimburgo con un nuovo spettacolo, Happy Orphan). Dal 2018 comincia a farsi conoscere dal pubblico italiano, partecipando a Zelig Time (disponibile su Amazon Prime Italia) e Zelig C-Lab (disponibile su Comedy Central Italia). Sempre sul palco di Zelig ha registrato il monologo Italiano ma non troppo, terzo episodio della rassegna Italian Stand Up (disponibile su Amazon Prime Italia, RaiPlay e trasmesso da Rai5). Nel 2021 ha partecipato al Brighton Fringe Festival con Words in Progress e alla nuova edizione di Zelig condotta da Claudio Bisio e Vanessa Incontrada per le reti Mediaset.
