Nel dicembre del 1978 il metronotte genovese Piero Zanfretta, durante un giro di ispezione in alcune ville dell’entroterra ligure, incontra “esseri enormi, alti circa tre metri”. Il caso Zanfretta è un caso di rapimento alieno o abduction. Siamo abituati a considerare questi fenomeni come pura fantascienza. Ma il caso Zanfretta si differenzia per le innumerevoli testimonianze, i riscontri oggettivi, le prove. Il caso Zanfretta è, innanzitutto, un fatto di cronaca. Ma appena oltre incombe il grottesco, il ridicolo, la caricatura da film di serie Z: tra inseguimenti nella notte, astronavi e robot camuffati da timidi passanti, ci sono questi alieni goffi, troppo goffi, ci sono loro e un demenziale progetto di colonizzazione terrestre, loro e i genovesi in un incontro impossibile. Sullo sfondo, l’Italia degli anni 70. Ingenua, piene di speranze. Falciata dal brigatismo e dalla lotta armata.
