Lo spettacolo è una rivisitazione drammaturgica della famosa fiction Le ali della vita, con Sabrina Ferilli e la meravigliosa Virna Lisi - a cui questa pièce è dedicata, per chi non lo avesse compreso - in una delle sue interpretazioni più iconiche.
Come nell'opera originale, Rosanna Ranzi, intraprendente e procace insegnante di canto, viene assunta nel tetro e sgangherato convento di Santa Chiara, diretto dall'algida e frigida Sorella Alberta, per insegnare canto alle disagiate consorelle afflitte da stonatura cronica. Al non semplice compito, si unirà la necessità di trovare la propria strada, il coraggio di spezzare le catene e di spiccare il volo, nonostante - è risaputo - le suore non sappiano volare.
