"La Terra Desolata" è il poemetto di T. S. Eliot che meglio esprime lo spirito modernista del suo tempo, in un gioco di rimandi alla mitologia, citazioni frammentate e pluralità di linguaggio. Con la musica ho cercato di cogliere tale spirito e di trasporlo in una partitura, servendomi di codici e linguaggi diversi e talvolta contradditori, come l'elettronica accostata al canto lirico e alla musica da camera, alle luci e alle immagini."
