Il progetto Captain Mantell nasce nel 2006 dall’omonimia
tra il cantante Tommaso Mantelli e il Capitano Thomas F. Mantell, Jr,
noto come il primo pilota a morire inseguendo un UFO.
La reinterpretazione della storia di questo personaggio è il filo conduttore dei primi quattro dischi della band.
Dirty White King (l'ultimo LP) si muove su una direzione più scura e potente rispetto alle precedenti opere. Racconta la storia di un omicidio simbolico del Re, adottando tecniche di registrazione alternative e un approccio cinematografico che rende questo album come una colonna sonora pesante per un film oscuro.
