La clinica freudiana è incentrata sulla figura del padre, e molti testi freudiani ripercorrono il tracciato mitologico religioso per ricostruirne la genealogia, come Mosé e il monoteismo. La clinica di Lacan si distanzia da questo: mette piuttosto in risalto il declino del padre, la sua non universalità, e si incentra piuttosto sul desiderio. Non a caso la riformulazione del transfert in Lacan s’incentra su quel che ha chiamato il desiderio dell’analista. Si tratterà quindi di ripercorrere questi tracciati concettuali per vederne le ricadute nella clinica
