Food for Profit è il primo documentario che mostra il filo che lega l’industria della carne, le lobby e il potere politico. Al centro ci sono i miliardi di euro che l’Europa destina agli allevamenti intensivi, che maltrattano gli animali, inquinano l’ambiente e rappresentano un pericolo per future pandemie.
La politica degli animali propone un viaggio alla scoperta della zoofilia anni Cinquanta e l'antispecismo anni Duemila, passando dal protezionismo e l'animalismo, con le implicazioni del più grande attacco alla fauna selvatica lanciato negli ultimi mesi così come del tema della "carne coltivata". Occuparsi di animali è politica. Perché giustizia, immigrazione, sicurezza, lavoro, sanità, questione sociale, economia, pandemie, cambiamenti climatici c'entrano (e tanto) con gli animali.
