Culture parallele non è una mostra collettiva sul modello delle nuove tendenze dell’arte contemporanea, ma ravvisa nelle opere degli artisti presentati un’istanza espressiva non solo di dipingere, ma di sentire e di essere, stimolo che molti artisti in questo momento stanno cercando anche con esiti diversi. All’interno del mondo dell’arte si susseguono da tempo molti discorsi e vi è la diffusa impressione che tutto sia stato detto e fatto.
Anche il pubblico ormai disinteressato vede con occhio diffidente il gioco delle mostre e delle fiere e procede come tutto per inerzia. Da questo nichilismo nasce e continua a crescere un confronto tra due diverse culture, quella che tende a riflettere e teorizzare rimanendo sul piano del pensiero razionale e quella che si concretizza nelle esperienze vissute.
Apparentemente incompatibili tendono a rimanere su due livelli senza possibilità di incontro. Alla ricerca di una sostanziale riunificazione della coscienza cerchiamo di convincerci e convincere che le due visioni si possano coltivare contemporaneamente senza perdita delle facoltà opposte.
