ALTEZZE REALI - I TESORI DI SANTA FELICITA A FIRENZE
Situato nel cuore di Firenze il monastero di Santa Felicita con i suoi quasi mille anni di storia – una delle istituzioni sacre più antiche della città –, rappresenta un'opportunità unica per esplorare un ricco patrimonio artistico e spirituale che è rimasto nascosto per secoli.
L’allestimento, avvenuto nel 2023 nello scalone di accesso al piano superiore, di una raccolta di numerosi oggetti e opere d’arte provenienti dai depositi di Santa Felicita, ha offerto l’occasione perfetta per aprire alle visite in maniera programmata.
Qui si possono ammirare una vasta gamma di tesori, tra cui il suggestivo chiostro ottagonale e la trecentesca Aula Capitolare, decorata con affreschi di Niccolò di Pietro Gerini e di Cosimo Ulivelli. La sagrestia, trasformata in una sorta di piccolo museo, ospita opere di maestri del calibro di Pacino di Buonaguida, Neri di Bicci e Taddeo Gaddi.
I visitatori più coraggiosi possono anche esplorare il campanile, ovvero l’ultima casa-torre medievale esistente a Firenze, e la famosa Tribuna dei Granduchi, un passaggio riservato costruito dai Medici nel 1565 per consentire loro di assistere alle funzioni religiose dal Corridoio Vasariano, senza dover scendere in aula.
Il percorso termina con i capolavori del Volterrano, Antonio Ciseri e la celebre Deposizione del Pontormo della cappella Capponi.
Un viaggio all'"altezza dei reali".
Parte dei proventi della mostra verrà devoluta alla Parrocchia di Santa Felicita per contribuire al mantenimento di questo prezioso patrimonio storico-artistico.
