Jamrock Records è oggi un’etichetta discografica indipendente italiana, con sede a L’Aquila, specializzata in black ed urban music.
A seguito degli eventi catastrofici che colpirono la città nell'ormai lontano 2009, nacque l'idea e soprattutto l'esigenza di uno spazio dove socialità, condivisione e passione convivessero assieme, un posto dove poter far musica, esprimersi, fare progetti, sognare.
I primi lavori sulla struttura risalgono dunque a quei giorni, motivati da un senso di speranza ed allo stesso tempo di rivalsa che ancora oggi pervade ogni piccola scelta e decisione da prendere, con la consapevolezza di aver dato tanto a questo territorio, ma allo stesso tempo la certezza di dover dare ancora molto. Resilienza.
Ed è con questo spirito che nel 2012 viene fondata ufficialmente la Jamrock Records dal Dabadub Sound System, crew attiva da ben oltre 10 anni nella scena reggae nostrana, con l’obiettivo di creare un punto di riferimento nel centro Italia per la produzione e la promozione musicale di un certo tipo, orientandosi attorno alle sonorità con le quali gli stessi fondatori della label sono cresciuti artisticamente, ossia il Reggae, la Dancehall, il Rap, la Trap e strizzando l’occhio alle nuove tendenze elettroniche.
Ad oggi l’etichetta vanta già numerose collaborazioni di spessore, uscite ed un roster in continua crescita.
