Domenica 20 Ottobre 2019 a Casole d'Elsa , nel centro storico, dalle 10:00 alle 22:00, si svolgerà la 1° edizione della festa CASOLE IN CASTAGNA.
L' Associazione Castanicoltori Val di Merse Montagnola Senese insieme alla Pro Loco di Casole, con il patrocinio del Comune di Casole d'Elsa , hanno organizzato una giornata di attrazioni enogastronomiche, culturali e ludiche.
Seduti in piazza della Libertà si potrà partecipare ad un estemporaneo corso di poesia e scrittura creativa, assistere alla premiazione di un concorso culinario e ad uno spettacolo teatrale. Camminando lungo il corso di via Casolani tra i ristoranti, le pizzerie, i bar, le macellerie, la gelateria, si potranno degustare cibi che hanno come ingrediente fondamentale la castagna o la farina di castagne. Sostando in piazza Luchetti si potrà assistere a spettacoli di burattini e clawnerie, mentre calde e profumate caldarroste, bicchieri di vino Terre di Casole DOC, crepes e bomboloni vi “inviteranno” ad un assaggio.
L'intento con cui la festa è stata pensata e organizzata è restituire alla tradizione castanicola del territorio dignità e visibilità; restituire ai boschi di castagni da frutto il diritto di mantenere la propria identità territoriale; restituire al castanicoltore un ruolo qualificato; tutelare il consumatore.
