LA VICENDA
Con estrema chiarezza e facilità di comprensione il testo presenta l’imperatore Federico II che ripercorre tutta la sua vita perennemente accompagnato dalla voce del popolo che lo esalta e lo atterra.
In lui è possibile infatti riconoscere un uomo di ampie vedute e foriero di un’intercultura capace di precorrere il suo tempo. Contemporaneamente però, la sua memoria è facilmente oscurabile tramite una lettura riduttiva di chiara provenienza filopapale che arriva a farne l’AntiCristo.
Federico decide dunque di presentarsi da solo e di consegnarsi al pubblico non come personaggio storico, ma come uomo vivo.
